Project Cargo to and from the DRC and Zambia

Our project cargo division was started in 2007 to service the, at the time, very remote KCC mine in Kolwezi DRC. Since then the division has grown exponentially and now commands a fleet of over 200 company owned vehicles (as well a number of vetted sub-contractors which can be called upon should the client require short term additional capacity) running to various destinations throughout both the DRC and Zambia.

The rapid growth experienced can only be attributed to our hands on management style and commitment to service. We offer our clients a reliable service coupled with thorough and transparent communication which provides procurement and operations with a stable platform to base their planning and forecasts on.

Our fleet consists of mainly flatdeck tri-axles and superlinks however, due to increasing demand we have added more specialized equipment such as drop-sided (aka grain-carriers), taut-liner and stepdeck trailers. Our Explosives License and SQAS accreditation allows us to carry a wide range of hazardous commodities as well as explosives. All vehicles AND trailer combinations are fitted with tracking devices and are monitored 24/7 by an independent control center. This, together with our contracted vehicle recovery company makes us well prepared to deal with any unfortunate incidents that may arise.

Over the last 10 years we have identified various bottlenecks along the route and have taken the necessary steps to alleviate these delays. These steps include having offices at both the Kazungula and Kasumbalesa border posts as well as full depots in Livingstone, Lusaka and Chingola (complementing our HQ in Johannesburg). We have gone to great lengths and expense to improve efficiencies throughout the route and believe that this infrastructure coupled with years of hands on experience makes us the number one choice for mines that understand the value a reliable transporter adds to their supply chain.

The ops department is headed up by Warren Butler, who has more than 20 years’ experience in cross border transport and the accounts by Desiree Fouche, who has been with the company since inception.
